Welcome to VVA 391s motorcycle Riders Web page. Starting with only five members in November of 2007, we have grown to over 40. We are veterans (or relatives of veterans) who love to ride. To that end, we get together the First Saturday of every month for a fun ride. WE are an active group, frequently being called upon to escort returning fallen heroes, as well as returning veterans. We actively support our fellow veterans by also participating in motorcycle runs benefiting numerous veteran organizations and charities. Each member of our group participates as much or as little as they desire.

2012 - 4th Annual Bobby Rapp Memorial Scholarship Run

Currently, we are working on the 4th Annual Bobby Rapp Memorial Scholarship Run, to be held April 14, 2012. The proceeds of this benefit enable us to award 4 $3,000 scholarships to local Tuolumne County High Schools. This benefit was originally started in 2009, with the first scholarships being awarded in May of 2010. Applications for the 2012 Scholarships are now being distributed.

Bobby Rapp was one of the first of our home-grown local boys killed in Afghanistan, March 2008. With his parents permission, this scholarship was started. It is our hope to be able to include additional schools. The first would be Mark Twain High School. But help is needed, as well as additional funds.

We are now collecting raffle prizes, as well as cash donations. Contact us at VVA391MCRiders@att.net  for more information. Thank you for your interest, and hope to see you at our meetings, as well as the Memorial Scholarship Run.

Pre registration will be available for riders/co-riders, or guests, February 1.

The Application and application process for the Sgt Bobby Rapp Memorial Scholarship is in the process of being updated.  Please check back after March 1 for this new application.  Please note that NO applications will be accepted unless it is the March 2012 Revision.
